Erotic Nest

Team Hot Space is a collective of queer and/or femme architects and designers based in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. We all have a strong passion for nightlife and strive for creating something extra: not just consuming but contributing to the club scene. 

We create safer spaces for anyone who’s looking for intimacy, but doesn’t feel at home in a classic darkroom. We want to welcome visitors into our erotic spaces to experiment with their desires, and challenge them to connect with others not only mentally (or spiritually), but also physically. 

For Pornceptual at club Parallel in Amsterdam we created an Erotic Nest. In between a light touch of thin layers of curtains and on top of a rolling landscape of softness, alluring smells, dripping projections, live performances and ambient sounds of music, the space invites intimacy, closeness, sweatiness, and sex. Duo-chrome fabrics in different transparencies and colours were used to create layers of privacy and exhibitionism, opening its doors to multiple levels of participation and experience.
